About us
Rotary Club of Bukit Kiara Sunrise (RCBKS) was formed on the 15th of February 1992. It was popularly known as the “Breakfast Club” as it is the only rotary club that holds its regular weekly meetings in the morning.
RCBKS is a vibrant and progressive club committed to making a significant difference to the needs of the community. We provide an opportunity for members to develop themselves through the participation of various worthwhile projects, thus enabling our members to develop various skills as they endeavour to provide significant service to the Community around them.
RCBKS has also constantly worked on building a caring club. Significantly, the club has developed its own identity and a Mission Statement that helps guide it through all its activities. RCBKS operates on the following premises:
- Every member does Rotary work on a voluntary basis.
- There is no monetary income to be gained from Rotary work.
- Some members are motivated by doing something good for the community.
- Other members are motivated by fellowship and meeting people.
- There is little direct business volume to be derived from Rotary work.
With these premises in mind, RCBKS has evolved a culture that can best be described by the following values.
Our Core Values:
- Service Orientation
- Strong Fellowship
- Right Conduct
- Good Management
- Membership Development and Retention.
When members can always be conscious of the above, RCBKS will live as a strong, effective and caring Rotary Club.
